Prince Chumphon Shrine - Hat Sai Ri

Prince Chumphon Shrine is found on the northern side Hat Sai Ri Beach about 20 kilometers southeast of Chumphon town by road No. 4119 and 4098. It's well signposted.
The base of the building is in the form of a naval ship as the Prince is honored as the father of the Royal Thai Navy.
Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, 28th child of King Rama V,  highly respected among Thais, especially fishermen.
Located on the side of the hill offers a nice views out to sea and the island of Maphrao.
As well as a good view of Hat Sai Ri beach.
A good time to visit the shrine is 19 December. Celebrations take place commemorating the birth of the Prince of Chumphon.
 The celebrations in 2020 must have included over 1000 ladies all in red dancing.
