Tong Tom Beach
Tong Tom Beach is 58km south of Chumphon. Take Highway 41 from Chumphon town for some 36km til you reach the
junction for the 4003, signposted to Sawi. At the traffic lights in Sawi turn right and travel down road 4003 for 10km til you reach this junction. There is a row of shops on the right.
Take the un-named road to the right and travel down this road for 9km. There is a crossroads where you go straight over and a left turn where you just follow the main road. The road down to the beach is on this bend.
The road end at the beach where there is a parking area.
With no nearby rivers the water quality is generally good.
Its is possible to walk along the eastern headland where you get an elevated view of the beach and the islands.Certainly one of the best advantage points for viewing Thong Kaeo Island.Take the un-named road to the right and travel down this road for 9km. There is a crossroads where you go straight over and a left turn where you just follow the main road. The road down to the beach is on this bend.

An alternative way to the beach is by found by taking the path round the headland from seahorses at Tong Tom Fishing Village. https://goo.gl/maps/ES2wHU8zzznb3kXL9
It is about a 10min walk.
Tong Tom Beach is 200m of sandy beach between between two headlands. Trees line the beach which offer shade and a nice place for a picnic. As there are no places to buy food or drink here so it's best to stock up on the way. With no nearby rivers the water quality is generally good.
Hello. Do they have a place for camping? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge they do not have a designated place for camping. There is however a large flat grass area (where the car is parked in the above picture) which would be suitable for tents.
