Suan Nai Dum is located just off Highway 41, 56km south of Chumphon town. There’s a large sign (picture of an orange) at the junction to the Garden, with the entrance some 200 meters from the highway.
Mr Dum (Uncle Black), developed his botanical garden to be a pleasant and somewhat different place for visitors. The difference being he has installed a variety of fully functional toilets. Upstairs in the entrance building (top picture) Mr Dum's life story is told from a taxi driver in Lang Suan to owning 200rai of orange orchards.
Walkways takes you through the garden to the different toilets.
Tud Moo's toilet is a big pink pig, having a window in his #$%#.
Tarzan has a toilet in his tree house. And Jane is not forgotten!
There's a 'Sky Toilet'! When it was built there were no trees around it. Guess now with the tree the 'sky' view has been lost.
Whilst over the years as Mr. Dum has not added any more toilets to the garden the plants have really grown, making it a lovely experience.
The orchard associated with the garden produces good quality fruits such as tangerine, papaya, dragon fruit, and Mayong Chit (marrian plum). There's a shop where all of this can be purchased together with restaurants for food and drink.
