In the loft is this large stalagmite.
Khao Ma Yang Cave is located within the grounds of Tham Khao Ma Yang Bureau of Monks and is 10 km from Chumphon town. Take Road No 1013 heading north west out of town for 9km until you reach a road to the right.
The temple complex is at the end of the road to the right. There is plenty of places to park under this large tree.
The way up to the cave is trough a small building beside the ordination hall (current under construction).Through the building you will come to concrete steps. At the start there are two large demon guardians to prevent bad spirts rising up to the cave. The temple complex is at the end of the road to the right. There is plenty of places to park under this large tree.
These guardians have recently been decorated for this is what they looked like in 2016.
The steps up have a good layer of moss on them which makes it feel like you are walking on a carpet. The trees offer a good shade from the sun.

Two-thirds of the way up where the steps bend there is another demon guardian. Sure this has meaning but unable to find the reason.
Again this demon guardian has had a paint job since 2016.
The steps finally lead you to the entrance of the cave. Did not count, but certainly less than 100 steps.
Through the low opening you come into one large cavern of about 20m across. The cave has been made into a place of worship with many religious items to be found within. In the loft is this large stalagmite.
