Khao Noi Cave

Khao Noi Cave is located within the grounds of Tham Khao Noi Monastery and is 10km from Chumphon town. Take Road No 2018 for 8km south of the town till you reach a road to your left, just after a bend.
Continue on this road to the left for 2km till you come to a small hill. The cave is on the northern side of the hill and there is a large concrete standing in front. A short flight of steps takes you up to the entrance of the cave.
Khao Noi is a through cave with an S shaped passageway connecting 2 caverns. As you enter the cave it opens up into a large cavern which has been made into a place for worship.
The passageway connecting the two caverns has a high ceiling with many formations in its loft.
There is a side passageway here which leads to what looks like a well. Not sure if this is natural or has been manmade. It had water in the bottom.
In the loft area of this passageway we spotted a snake. Sadly not interested in us and camera shy. These types of snake are normally found in the caves of Southern Thailand and live off eating bats. Latin Name - Othriophis taeniurus ridleyi (Ridley’s Racer).
Eventually you will come out into a large cavern where there is the other cave opening.
This cavern has also been made into a place for worship.
A number of formations can be found in this cavern.
The 'Caves & Caving in Thailand' website has referenced this as Cave No. CP0085.
A colony of bats can be found in the cave.
