Kho Kwang headland is 15Km east of Chumphon town. Take Road 4001 out of
Chumphon town for some 2Km, turning left onto the 4058. 2.5 Km along to 4058 turn right at the traffic lights. Take this road all the way to the T junction at the coast. Turn left onto Road 4008. Follow this road for 4km, turning right just after Wat Ban Bang Khoi.
This road goes all the way to the headland. About 2km along the road, on the right you will see a covered seating area. Whilst a little run down you are high up on the cliff with a view out to sea.
The road goes nearly to the end of the headland.
You get a good view looking north and south along the coast.
Whilst the shoreline is rocky the water is clean being far out on the headland. With a bit of care it is possible to swim and do some snorkeling.
Also popular with the locals for fishing.
At the end of the road you can find a path that takes you to the end of the headland.
From here you have a great view of Ao Phanang Tak bay.
