Khao Pip Cave

Khao Pip Cave is 50km south of Chumphon Town. Take Highway 41 for 49km till you reach the PTT LPG Station (this is 1Km before the Khao Pip Intersection). Just before this LPG station take the road on the left.

This road will take you round to the 36 steps that lead up to the cave entrance.

The entrance to the cave is a short tunnel leading through to a large cavern. 

This is rather a dirty cave from a large colony of bats and an unfinished concrete walkway/platform. At the side of the entrance is this interesting row of small statues.

In an alcove to the left Buddha statues have been placed.

The 'Caves & Caving in Thailand' website has referenced this as Cave No. CP0066.

To the side of the walkway are steps which lead down to the underside of the platform.

On the right is a passageway leading to another chamber which is still in its natural state. At the far end of this chamber is an opening which allows a nice breeze to blow through.

The cave ceiling in this part is very high. Maybe the cave is as high as it is long!
