Khuan Sian Waterfall
Location - https://maps.app.goo.gl/PbGNbTbj3De3GPMv6
Khuan Sian Waterfall is 98km south of Chumphon town. Take Highway 41 south from Chumphon and turn west just before Lang Suan onto Road No. 4006 in the direction of Phato. After 14km on the 4006 turn right onto a small tarmac road.
5km along this road you come to a Y junction where you must turn right. There is a sign indicating the way to the waterfall.
From here on you must proceed carefully as you are going up into the hills and the road is very steep in places. Honk your horn on the blind corners. The views down into the valley are very nice.
Basically the road follows the river which you can see through the trees.
At one place the road goes over the river.
Eventually you will come to the waterfall. There is a large signpost.
If you go 50m past the signpost you will find off road parking.
From the back of the parking area you will find a path down to the waterfall.
It is possible the clamber around on the rocks to get the best view of the fall. We did not find the rocks slippery at all, well the dry ones!
The locals have erected this shrine to the waterfall.
Being up in the mountains you are certainly close to nature. We saw this lovely butterfly.
