Tham Ruesi Viewpoint

At Wat Tham Ruesi a seated Buddha statue has been built on the side of a small hill.

It is possible to drive up however the concrete track is very steep so take care.

The road takes you nearly to the top. A set of steps leads up to the viewing platform.

From the viewing platform you get a good 180 degree view looking north/eastwards.

Further up the hill there is one of the Ruesi caves and from it's entrance the view is rather good looking over the Buddha statue.

When we first visited in December 2016 there was no viewing platform. The rock mound where the platform is now just had a palm tree going on it. Luckily the palm tree is still there!
