Ban Searb Yourn Viewpoint

Ban Searb Yourn Viewpoint is some 55 km south of Chumphon Town. Take Highway 41 for 40 km til you reach the junction on the left for the 4003 to Sawi. In Sawi town you have to turn right at the traffic lights and continue for 13 km along the 4003 til a junction to the left. There is a sign in Thai to the viewpoint here.

From here it is just 2 km to the viewpoint and signs show you the way. The road ends at a car park by the sea.

You get some nice views across Thung Kha Bay.

At the end of the carpark is this rocky headland.

From the headland you can also see some islands, the largest visible being Koh Yung.

Around the headland there is a small bay with a sandy beach. If you are looking to go for a swim this would be the best place.

This area is roughly the southern extent of the Thung Kha Bay Mangrove Forest Park so you will find a number of mangroves growing along the shoreline.

A short boardwalk nicely takes you through the mangroves. 

The local community have created an area to buy food and drink. Normally just operated at the weekend for during the week the place is very quiet.

They have also provided a nice toilet block.
