Klong Prao Waterfall

Klong Prao (Thap Chang) Waterfall is in Klong Prao National Park and is 80 km south of Chumphon town. Travel 65  km from Chumphon town along Highway 41 and take the road to the right (it is opposite road No. 4097 which is to the left). There is a sign post on the Highway indicating the way to the waterfall. After 8km on this road you come to the village of Thap Change where elephants guard the entrance to the temple.
Follow the road round to the right which takes you up into the hills.
After 6 km from the elephant statues you will arrive at the entrance to the waterfall. Off road parking is just before the hut.
Walk 10 m past the hut and you will find the path down to the waterfall.
The concrete stairway leads down to the top of the waterfall.
To get to the bottom of the waterfall you have to cross to other side of the river by way of this bamboo bridge.
The track on the other side of the river leads round to a series of steel ladders which take you down to the base of the waterfall.
At the base of the ladders you get a great view of the waterfall.
You will find some nice places for a picnic and a swim.
