Sampaothong Cave

Sampaothong Cave is located within the grounds of Wat Tham Sampaothong and is 14km south of Chumphon town. The temple entrance is directly on Highway 41 on the side of Bangkok bound carriageway.

Drive right the way through the temple complex as the cave entrance is at the far end, by the base of the hill.

The cave is only a small chamber of about 8m in diameter but what makes it worth visiting is the 500 (as advertised) small models of Buddha that decorate the walls.
