Stupa at Wat Khao Bo

Wat Khao Bo is 14km south of Chumphon town. Very easy to find as the road to the temple on the left of Highway 41, 500m after the radio station (FM 90.75).
Wat Khao Bo's stupa is the largest in Chumphon.
Wat Khao Bo has been under construction for many years as it is totally reliant on the donations of the faithful. The work is done by hand and you seldom see construction equipment (concrete mixers, tower cranes etc). Personally find this intriguing as its gives an insight as to how the structures are built.
Whilst the craftsmen are very skilled at their work there is a heavy reliance on the use of molds.
Within the stupa can be found this large standing statue of Buddha. It must be 6 meters tall.
Immediately surrounding the stupa are seated Buddha statues under rather ornate housings.
The Stupa is contained within a courtyard. On three sides of the courtyard are found many Buddha statues.
The whole courtyard is protected by two five headed nāgas with their bodies forming the boundary wall.
