Bo Kha Beach

Bo Kha Beach is some 55 km south of Chumphon Town. Take Highway 41 for 40 km till you reach the junction on the left for the 4003 to Sawi. In Sawi town you have to turn right at the traffic lights and continue for 14 km along the 4003 right to its end at the fishing village of Ban Bo Kha. Take care as you drive through the village as the road is very narrow. At the end of the village the road becomes a single track which you follow round to the beach.
Bo Kha Beach is a straight, part pebble, part stone beach under the tree covered rocks of the headland. Normally very quiet so you should have the place to yourselves.
The headland ends in this natural archway.
A nice walk is along the breakwater at the northern end of the beach. Care should be taken as it is high and really not suitable for children.
From the breakwater you get a good view looking westwards past the fishing village and into Thung Kha Bay.
Not often found but toilets are available on this beach. Rather different for they are two converted fishing boat wheelhouses.
