Wat Phutsadee Phupharam Viewpoint
Wat Phutsadee Phupharam is 56km south of Chumphon town and easy to find as it is on the righthand side of Highway 41. 5km past the Khao Pip Intersection (Tesco store on the right) you will see a hill with a number of golden Buddha statues. This is Wat Phutsadee Phupharam.
As you enter the temple complex just before the Ordination Hall is the path up to the viewpoint. There is this shelter at the start. The reason for the image of the dog is that the hill is called Ma Ngaem which translates as howling dog hill.It is a well made path up to the viewpoint and for the steep sections steel stairs have been constructed. Took us about 15 minutes to slowly climb up. And all the way you are under the shade of bamboo. At the top you will find a well made steel observation platform. From the top you get a nice view eastwards looking over the Temple and Highway 41.Looking northwards you can see the tops of the buildings around the Khao Pip Intersection.

On the southern side of Howling Dog Hill is Ma Ngaem Cave which is worth checking out.
