Kangprong Waterfall
Location : 10.3576536, 99.0747753
Kangprong Waterfall is 29 km south of Chumphon town. Take the Asia Highway (Road 41) south for 26 km and turn right onto Road 1005. 2 km up this road the turning for the waterfall is on your left.
500 meters down this road is a track on your left, beside a palm plantation. This track takes you to the waterfall.Kangprong Waterfall is one of the waterfalls found on the Wisai River and is created by a series of rock formations that span the river. Sort of like snakes weaving their way across. This retains a good quantity of water making it a nice place for a swim. The water is not deep and suitable for children. On the northern river bank a few platforms and seating areas have been constructed, however you will find the waterfall mostly in its natural state. Good tree cover on both banks giving plenty of shade from the sun.Always found the water in the river to be clear. Only silts up a little bit when a lot of people are swimming.
The restaurant here, Pluem Udom Garden, is only open at weekends and holidays.
