Lamae Beach

Lamea Beach is some 100km south of Chumphon Town. Take Highway 41 south to Lamae, turning left after 91km onto road 4112 which will take you into the town of Lamea. By following directions to the Maejo University you will eventually come to the coast road 4019 that runs parallel with the beach.

Lamae Beach is a steep straight sandy beach. Trees line the beach which offer shade.

On our last visit to the beach this guy was collecting shellfish. He certainly filled his bucket quickly so it must be a good spot. Was selling for 30 Bhat/Kilo.

A number of restaurants can be found along the beach which offer good views and access to the water.
