Khai Nao Beach, also known as Coral Beach, is 48km north of Chumphon Town. Take road No. 3180 out of Chumphon Town. After 21km turn right onto road No. 3201 which forms part of the "Scenic Route". You will see these signs along the road.
Follow the "Scenic Route" on roads 3201 and 4004. About 7km along the 4004 the turning for the beach is on the right. There is an archway with New Nordic Coral Beach on it.
As you drive down this road to the beach you will see a number of large white buildings. These are part of the New Nordic Coral Beach Resort which was abandoned before completion of construction. At the end of the road, just before the beach, you will find a small carpark.
The beach is a crescent shaped sandy beach between two large rock outcrops. Certainly a nice place for swimming.
There are no places to buy food or drink at this beach so come prepared.
