Chumphon City Pillar Shrine or San Lak Muang is right in the center of Chumphon Town. At the eastern end of the high street. In this blog all distances to places are measured from this point.

City pillars are found in most Thai cities, housed in a shrine (San Lak Muang) which also houses the Chao Pho Lak Mueang, the city spirit deity.
