Kuring Dam is 30 Km north of Chumphon town. Take Highway 4 for about 21 km until you reach the Tha Sae Interchange. Turn left onto Road 3181 to Tha Sae town. 2.5Km down this road turn right.
5.5Km down this road turn left and the dam is a further 1km.
Kuring Dam must be the largest dam in the province of Chumphon.
It retains a large body of water used primarily for agricultural purposes.
Raised roads go most of the way around the reservoir with parking places to take in the view. A nice part is through a flooded palm plantation.
The spillway attracts a lot of birds.
