Aphakornkiatiwong Park is in the center of Chumphon just behind the main hospital. There is plenty of parking.

The main entrance has a driveway that takes you to the center of the park where you will find a statue of the Prince of Chumphon, Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, also known as Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak. He played a pivotal role in Thai history, especially regarding the Royal Thai Navy. He was the 28th child of King Rama V and is highly respected among Thai's.
The statue is on a manmade island. The water surrounding the island is well stocked with fish.
To the eastern side of the park is a large pond.
There is a pathway all the way around the pond and trees give good shade from the sun. Plenty of places to sit and take it all in.
