Street Art - King Bhumibol (Rama IX)

In the center of Chumphon town on the side of the National Telecom Public Company Limited building can be found a large mural of King Bhumibol (Rama IX).

The mural is part of the Street Art King Bhumibol project, which aims to feature murals of the late king in all 77 provinces of Thailand. Chumphon is the 25th province to take part in this project. 

The project is led by artist and educator Chawat “Ahlai” Champasan, with support from local communities and volunteers. The goal is to bring these murals into public spaces where people can connect with them in their everyday lives.
