Rup Phan Phra Sivali Thera Shrine is 87Km south of Chumphon town. Take Highway 41 for some 50km til you reach the Khao Pip intersection (a Lotus's store is on the right just before the intersection). Turn left at the intersection taking Road No. 4096, heading east to Pak Tako. After about 10km turn right at the cross roads and then left after 500m onto Road No. 4012 heading for Lang Suan. After about 16km you should see the shrine on the left.
It is understood the shrine has been built by local fishermen as a way to offer thanks for their safety at sea. There are four statues to be found at the shrine. The first is a seated monk. The next two statues are walking monks, holding an umbrella.
The forth statue is of The Prince of Chumphon who was Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, also known as Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak or Sadet Tia. He played a pivotal role in Thai history, especially regarding the Royal Thai Navy. The is a beach here but it is rocky and not really suitable for swimming.
