Prince of Chumphon Shrine - Khao Phang

The Prince of Chumphon Shrine is within Khao Phang Forest Park which is a large area to the north west of Chumphon Town. The main entrance to the park is 16km from town and can be seen on the right along Highway 4.

On the right as you enter the park you will find the shrine dedicated to Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, 28th child of King Rama V, honoured as the father of the Royal Thai Navy and Prince of Chumphon.

 

In memory of his Naval background you with find pieces of ordnance around the shrine.
