Cape Pathiu

Cape Pathiu is 43 km north of Chumphon Town. It is the headland after Ao Bo Mao Bay and just before Coral Beach. Take road No. 3180 out of Chumphon Town. After 21 km turn right onto road No. 3201 which forms part of the "Scenic Route".  You will see these signs along the road.

Follow the "Scenic Route" on roads 3201 and 4004. 10Km along the 4004 you have to take a right turn. No sign post and a little difficult to find it is best to look out for the pink building immediately after the turning.

This road will take you to the beach. The road only runs along side the beach for a few 100 meters however the beach is much longer. 

Whilst Cape Pathiu has a nice sandy beach, further out it is rocky, which are exposed a low tide.

A boat operator has built a long (500m) pier here which is nice for a stroll. 

As you walk along the pier you have a nice view of the coral and fish.

At the end of the pier you have a good view of Ko Khai island. Sadly it was a little hazy when we visited.
