Phru Takhian Viewpoint
Location - https://maps.app.goo.gl/VBbr3UhXbUSwCkWPA
Phru Takhian viewpoint is found on the hill above Wat Tham Phru Takhian some 54km north of Chumphon Town. 48km along Highway 4 from Chumphon town take the U-turn after the Por Ta Hin Chang Shrine (where all the banana stalls are). Travel back 1km and take the paved road to the left. 4km along this road take a left at the crossroads.
The entrance to the temple is 1km up the road on the right.Drive through the temple grounds and follow the road as it bends to go up the hill. This road ends at the top of the hill where you will see a large golden chedi.
On the hill top you will also find some other Buddhist statues.
Few years back you could get a view from this high position but since the trees have grown blocking this.So it best to go back down the hill a bit to where there is the big black monk statue. From the platform around the statue you will get a good view looking south and westwards.
There is also a cave in this hill. Details can be found here - https://chumphonplaces.blogspot.com/2019/01/phru-takian-cave.html
